Info: EXECUTRON appears to have been a calculator brand used on several externally manufactured product lines during the 1970s.
Surviving machines provide useful evidence, but they do not establish a single manufacturer behind every EXECUTRON model.
The name was already present on desktop calculators around 1973.
The EXECUTRON 12 and 12M are particularly informative: surviving examples have rear labels identifying EIKO Business Machine Co., Ltd.
This is direct evidence of an EIKO connection for those models, rather than an attribution based only on similar appearance.
By the middle of the decade, the EXECUTRON name also appeared on portable and scientific calculators.
The Slide Rule Museum identifies Unitrex as the North American distributor and Eiko as the manufacturer associated with this product line.
This illustrates how a calculator could carry several identities: a model or range name, a distributor’s brand, and a separate manufacturing company.
